This unique vintage diamond and blue enamel ring in 18K yellow gold was made circa 1970. The ring features four squares of a gorgeously saturated, royal blue colored enamel, similar to lapis lazuli in hue. Each square of enamel frames a round brilliant-cut diamond, prong-set with right angles to impart a square shape for each diamond setting. The diamonds are H in color and range VS2-SI1 in clarity. Each diamond measures approximately 2.10 mm in diameter, combining for an estimated total weight of .15 carats for all four diamonds. The diamond-set enamel squares are arranged in a horizonal design across the finger, within a ring mounting of 18K yellow gold, hand-engraved for a distinctive texture that is no longer seen in today's jewelry. The ring is a size 6 and is marked "18K" on the interior.
