Copy of 2.64 ct. VVS Blue Sapphire, .62 ct. Diamond & Platinum Ring - Original Art Deco 1920s Signed YARD
This important ring was inherited through a private estate in Europe. The exceptional sapphire is a faceted oval-cut, a deep 2.64 carats, with VVS clarity and a strong violet-blue color. The center is surrounded by 22 round brilliant diamonds with an approximate total weight of .62 carats, averaging G-H color and SI clarity. The precisely-crafted, handmade platinum setting is marked "YARD" for legendary Art Deco-era jeweler Raymond Yard of New York City. This original ring was evidently made in his workshop and sold in his Manhattan boutique, which was known for providing elite quality jewelry in the early 20th century, helping to define the sleek yet sumptuous Art Deco style as it reigned in the Roaring 1920s.
